  • Mark Mommsen
    President
    • Mark is experienced in agricultural, recreational, and transitional real estate, as well as 1031 exchanges. He is a member of the Realtors Land Institute and National Auctioneers Association, is an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC), an Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate (AARE), and has completed the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) – designations held only by individuals who have achieved the highest level of education, experience, and professionalism in the industry. Mark grew up on a row crop and livestock farm in Clinton County, Iowa, focusing on beef, swine, corn, and soybeans. He continues working with his family on the operation, maintaining his current knowledge of production agriculture. Mark graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and serves on an advisory board for the College of Engineering at Iowa State. Prior to joining MGW, Mark gained significant experience in the food industry while holding a variety of leadership roles with General Mills, Inc., in California, Iowa, and Illinois. Mark and his wife, Kristin, are the proud parents of two daughters, Madison and Mackenzie.

  • Jeff Waddell
    ALC, CIPS
    • Jeff is experienced in agricultural, transitional, and developmental real estate sales and 10-31 exchanges. He has been instrumental in expanding MGW’s business from primarily farmland to include transitional land and commercial property. Jeff's primary focus is agricultural and transitional land in the Midwest. Jeff is a member of the International Real Estate Foundation (FIABCI), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and the Realtors Land Institute (RLI). In addition, Jeff is an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) and a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). These two esteemed designations are only achieved by individuals such as Jeff, who have achieved the highest level of real estate education, experience, and professionalism.

  • Josh Waddell
    Vice President
    • Josh has been a broker with MGW, Inc. since 2005, and has served as Vice President of the company since 2009. As Vice President, Josh has expanded our sales efforts throughout Illinois, closing 50 farms in the last two years alone. These sales include tillable farms, transitional and development properties, as well as recreational land. In recent years, he led our expansion into land acquisitions in Tennessee, and has overseen sales in several other states including a 1,400 acre land auction in Montana. Josh continues his travels to South America, Europe and Asia, servicing our wide-range of international sales and management clients.

  • Steve Diedrich
    Accredited Farm Manager, Designated Managing Broker
    • Steve joined the MGW team in 2005, and currently oversees our farm management division. He has extensive experience in production agriculture as a farm owner and operator, as well as agribusiness experience, having worked for Monsanto's seed production division. Steve and the rest of the MGW team have helped many landowners achieve their farm ownership objectives, optimize returns, and improve the value of their farmland investment. Steve graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He is an Accredited Farm Manager (AFM), a designation held by individuals who have achieved the highest level of professionalism and expertise in the industry. He is also a graduate of the Illinois Farm Bureau Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) program. Steve and his wife Lori have four grown children.

  • Grant Kuppler
    Farm Manager
    • Grant started with MGW as a Farm Manager after interning during his studies at Western Illinois University, where he graduated with a degree in Agribusiness. He was raised on a row crop and livestock farm near Hinckley, Illinois, gaining valuable experience in grain, beef, and hog production. Grant continues working with his family on the farm and is nearing completion of the Accredited Farm Manager designation.

  • Mindy Mason
    Farm Management Coordinator
    • Mindy joined Martin, Goodrich & Waddell in January 2011 and is the Farm & Property Management Coordinator of the MGW team.  Since 2001, Mindy has gained experience in the Accounting field, as well as in Human Resources and Customer Service.  Her past industry experiences include: specialty insurance, home building, land development, and manufacturing.  Mindy was born and raised locally in Genoa, and is familiar with the farming community of Northern Illinois.

  • Bridgette Jenner
    Real Estate Coordinator
    • Bridgette joined Martin, Goodrich & Waddell in June 2012 as an Administrative Assistant. Her experience in office operations and customer service comes from years spent in the land surveying industry. In addition, she is familiar with real estate proceedings and holds a paralegal certificate. Bridgette and her husband, Bryan, reside in Kingston with their two sons.

  • Brad Waddell
    Certified General Appraiser
    • Brad joined the MGW team in 2012, and currently heads up the appraisal division. Prior to Joining MGW, Brad gained 28 years of experience in the construction manufacturing & supply industry holding positions as Operations Manager, Assistant Division Manager, and Area Sales Manager. Brad is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and his focus is on agribusiness appraisals, including grain facilities, hog operations, cattle operations, feed mills, improved family farms, bare farmland, commercial properties, and rural residences.   Brad grew up in Creston, IL gaining his earliest agricultural experience working for local farmers, and working for Funks Hybrid during his teen years. Brad and his wife Michele have two sons, Mason & Zane.

  • Brian Bohannon
    Associate Real Estate Trainee Appraiser
    • Brian is an Associate Real Estate Trainee Appraiser at MGW, and previously interned with the company during his studies at Western Illinois University, where he graduated with a degree in Agribusiness and a minor in Agronomy. Previously, Brian gained valuable experience working for agricultural cooperatives and a number of grain and livestock farms. Brian was raised and currently resides in Hinckley, Illinois.

  • Donald Brummel
    Agent
    • Donald brings 15 years of marketing and agricultural experience to his new role as Sales Associate. He was raised on a farm and spent his early career as a farmer and farm manager. From there he moved to a farm supply and service firm, then to District Sales Manager for Midwest Seed Genetics. Don is a Certified Crop Adviser, so he has a detailed knowledge of production agriculture. He has an Associates Degree in Ag Production and Management from Joliet Junior College. Donald and his wife Marcee live in rural Sheridan, Illinois. Their three daughters attend school in Somonauk.
